The New Orleans Saints added a day three quarterback to their roster this offseason. He's not a normal, camp body type of QB, though. Instead, Spencer Rattler possesses physical talent that normally does not last until round five.
Alas, he made it to the Saints, and they have high hopes for him. Tyrann Mathieu already said that his college play reminded him of Aaron Rodgers. The Saints began rookie minicamp on May 10th.

Rattler went 11/12 at Friday's rookie minicamp session in 7-on-7s and the limited team drills as well, according to Ross Jackson.
His precision flashed, and he showed why he was regarded a top-flight high school prospect when he entered college. His arm talent is top notch as a young QB, and his pocket presence/movement are amongst his best traits. Rattler is a great athlete.
Rattler noted that he's enjoying the process with his new team.

You can tell from the young QB's demeanor that he is confident. It's a subtle confidence, though. All in all, he has plenty of intriguing tools that fans will look forward to seeing throughout camp and the preseason.
Rattler is battling with Jake Haener for the backup job in New Orleans for 2024.
